Our Board of Directors is made up of physicians who live in our community and share an unwavering commitment to care for the wonderful people who live here. Their generosity is not lost on those who have the privilege of working with them, whether as an employee or patient.

Established in 1995

The concept of a free-standing ambulatory surgery center was born in 1995. With the idea that more efficient, patient-focused quality care in an outpatient setting was possible, eighteen local physicians formed the organization that would soon grow into the Board of Directors of the Ambulatory Care Center.

Just over two years later, in January of 1998, the Ambulatory Care Center opened its doors for the very first time. This was possible thanks to the commitment, foresight and resolve of these physicians, who now own and operate one of the few multi-specialty free-standing facilities in Cumberland County. These physician owners have been unanimous in their belief that the quality of care provided inside the Ambulatory Care Center must be free from the bureaucratic encroachment of outside investors. For that reason, the Board of Directors has elected to retain complete autonomy, rejecting offers from both local and national organizations to run the center.

The Ambulatory Care Center is fully licensed and Medicare-approved. We have successfully completed the certification process from the prestigious and rigorous American Association of Ambulatory Health Care. Our center remains an amalgam of the pinnacle of modern technology, managed by your hometown physicians who you know and trust.
